Heater Core?

in my mx-3, the air never blows out warm when you have it all the way to the hot setting. It doesnt have A/C at all, but im just wondering that if its only blowing luke warm air if maybe the heater core is shot and how much or how hard they are to replace. I know most are way in the dash but im not sure about on the mx-3. Thanks.
