From what I've read so far from Adlorins info - NO. Since we don't have the obstacle of the headlight, the SC will reside abeam the disty almost in the same location where the oem airbox is. A long pully driven intermediate shaft will run the length of the engine just in front of the front valve cover. At the end of the intermediate shaft will be another pully with a short belt going to the SC pully. Intake air will be drawn from the rear of the SC through intake tubing and filter that will run into the fender well. The forced air will run to the TB which is only about a 12" run if intake tubing. I've seen a similar set-up already on a probe in toronto. I believe that in the probes case the disty had to be modified because of the limited space abeam the disty. That's not the case with the MX. I hope that's what you were looking for John.

I only seen 2 mx-3 supercharged as of today.
Jeff Abrams old mx-3 (wich he converted to turbo)
had the S/C mounted where the disty is.
and the other guy that is S/C is this one witch I kit will be similar to aldorin's kit:
* edit we posted at the same time. I just saw that you wouldn't want it there.
btw are you a member on PT?

It won't clear. I tried it on my mx3. Thats why i went the turbo route. I still have the brackets here and maybe one day I'll try to find a probe and try it on. the supercharger comes way to close to the front frame. You have about 1.5 inch left before it hits the front frame. I used the stock a/c bracket and 1/2 thick aluminum for the bracket. Yours might have alittle more room because I don't see you using the a/c bracket.

Very nice set-up - nice and clean. Not familiar with that SC. Looks a bit bulkier than the Eaton M62 but is configured the same way as my M62 will be, more or less. Nice find Steve!!

i am a member of probetalk, we were just talken about the 400hp mx3. i think that it's exstream hp for a small car, but if he did that many passes with it i guess he can handle it. you just don't hear of many people making that much power.
the whole project might go on hold because i might be going to kuait in a 2-3 month.
but tell the owner of that mx3 i will take 1 also, and i will give him a wappin $50.00

lol
