i dont think it would do much if anything. the engine heats up the intake tube anyway so i dont see much of a benefit, and for that price you could make your own with a small piece of sheet metal.

It may hurt more than help because once the engine bay heats up, the heat shield will heat up and radiate heat toward the air filter the difference would be nill.

That piece of metal is basically too small.

It has been proven several times that a heatshield on a cone filter is a good thing, or relocating it away from the motor.
