oil pressure sender

Post by Kokiriwave »

I'm installing an oil pressure sender, but am having difficulty connecting it. I installed the signal wire, andi worked for a bit, but now it just doesn't do anything...do i have to ground it?

The sender itself screws into the engine so is grounded there without the use of a wire.

At the gauge I think you should have:
12V (ignition on)
Ground
12V (illumininating light)
Sender wire

If it worked for a while I'd be checking the connection to the sender - that would be the most likely place.
