4Cyl to KLZE swap

Post by DaRepoMan73 »

I am having trouble finding info on this. I can find alot about 1.8 to 2.5 swaps but nothing about starting with a 1.6. I have a running and driving 93 Probe GT with a KLZE as a donor car. I also have 2 other complete mx3 4cyl parts cars. Any help would be great!!!!!!!

You need a MX-3 v6 (GS) donor car...

where do you live. i went from v6 to bpt so i have a container full of basicly everything you will need. i used the rear motor mount and crossmember for teh v6. i have axles but there old and i scraped the engine and tranny. so all youd need is one moutn the crossmember tranny engine and axles. cause theres a lot of little things that need to be swapped over. pretty much everything in the engine bay

I plan on using the wiring and computer from the probe. I would also like to use the probe tranny but know what to do about axles, if the GS axles will fit or if I will have to do some fabrication.
Oh...I live in NC

yo thats crazy! i'm also wondering about how difficult this is, because my friend is swapping a KLZE into his RS. are the motor mount places the same? if so, that would make it way easier right?
