a while ago i stated the reply that they had... they said there definately is a future for them in altezza taillights but not right now. so im going to the clears since i can get them made. everyone, i am going to get a pair made and am bidding on the factory taillights available on ebay right now. alot of people are emailing me about these so just let me get these ones from ebay, i'll get them modified should take about 2 weeks. then i'll get some pics of them on my car and everything and see what you guys think. so if anyone wants in on this and was going to get another pair from ebay, please dont bid i need them as cheap as i can get them.

To put the supra one in it is very expensive because you havee to get a body shop to do a lot of mods.
Dean Image Image

quote:
Originally posted by shawnm:
Do u have a scheme how will clear tail lights look like?? how about making some tail lights like supra style?
http://www.compusmart.ab.ca/fx/install.html
round colors are more likely sports one's
best regards,

------------------
ImageImage
[This message has been edited by Dean Silver MX3 (edited May 29, 2001).]

yea i presented the supra taillights idea to my body guy. he said it was too much work and too much possibility of failure. it really is an expensive job. and as for altezza's, neither or nor anyone i've talked to has access to the things we need to make them. clear taillights seem to be the only possibility right now. towards the end of the week/early next week i should be getting a pair of factory taillights and i'll ship them out immediately. then in about 3 weeks i should get the finished product and we'll just see how they look. i had them made before but the lense was just totally clear and i didn't like how that looked. i like them to be clear w/a texture (like the clear signal/side markers corksport sells). so we'll see how things go. they definately can be made. i've had questions as to what the black border is in the picture shown above, that is simply paint because without it you can see all the glue used to adhere the lense to the housing. they dont come painted like that though, thats your personal opinion because the glue really isn't that visable. it'll be up to you. 3 different types/layers of glue are used to insure that they don't leak and stay on there for a long time! so we'll see what happens. i personally am not "taking orders" for these items. i am going to have mine made and talk to the guy, see if he wants more mx-3 customers. if he does, i'll give everybody his contact and you can work all the details out with him.
[This message has been edited by finchuck (edited May 29, 2001).]
