which is better?

Post by mx3optidrive »

I am putting in a BP from a protege and I am going to turbo it. I have a new T3/T4 turbo but I know where I can get a 16G mitsu turbo setup for a good price. So, my question is which turbo is the better one for this motor? BTW, I am looking at getting between 225-300 hp as a goal for the setup. Thanks.

well there's a difference between 225 and 300whp but then go with a t3/t4 since it has a wider range of power

I'd still say the 16G is gonna spool faster and be alot nicer on the street. There are alot of 400HP DSMs with 16G turbos.
1992 mx-3, a couple mods, i'm still a n00b

If your goals are 225-300 whp, u can use 16G, We have a Protege with a 16G and he has 273whp @ 17 psi with bp26 exhaust manifold and stock downpipe of the 16G
