vris

Post by duncan »

i was searchin these forums and i saw on the second page ppl talkin about vris where it kicks in at a certain rpm and gives more power like the honda vtec. is there anyway to modify this to make it work sooner or give more power and/or torque and get me off the line faster?

there are ways to change its timing, but it will not help you any, because it is made to open and close at certain RPMs. And it is nothing like honda's vtec. The only time people are worried about messing with VRIS is when you swap engines and the ECU is not telling the solinoids to open and close at the right time because you don't have the correct ecu for that manifold.
1992 mx-3, a couple mods, i'm still a n00b
