ZE motor not running right

hey everyone i have been searching through all the fourms but i cant find what i need.
I have unstalled a ZE motor in my mx-3 and its not runnin right from idle to 4000 rpm is doesnt run right it sputters and stuff its kinda like laging and chuging. it dosnt run all that well but after 4000 it runs smooth i have no clue.

check your timing, vacuum connections, tps, basically just get everything tuned but i would guess it is not timed.

Since it changes at 4000 check the VRIS also. It may be vaccum plumbed wrong or the silinoids are bad. But I agree with timing or TPS first.

what set-up so you got..(ecu, vaf, etc...)
It could be a million things. Go further in detail.

Hey guys yeah my timing is fine and my idle is all good but its weriod some times it works good all the time and sometimes it lags and chuges so i dont no

I have checked the vaccum they all seem good i am running th KL31 ecu.
But like i say its off and on when it works and lags

Hmm, maybe try checking disty, and plugs for proper gap to make sure they didn't get burned. Also might be fuel related, check the FP and relay while someone revs the car.

Can I assume that you are running the JE50 VAF (stock K8) with the KL 31 ecu?

Also how are your O2 sensors?

make sure you run good 93 octane (mobil, bp, sunoco), change your fuel filter, new ngk copper plugs. take it from there

so many problems...lol.. sounds like i miss out on alot of fun when i first did my ze swap... tell you the truth , my first time, everything ran great..and its still running nice and smooth..no crazy noise, no nothing..just my luck..

after driving the ze for awhile, i got bore and gave her away to the women...its great to hear people's problems . :P especially the ze
93' blue mx-3, klze curve neck, kl36ecu, all the upgrade possible/out turbo.
