proformance upgrade

Post by shawno »

Last night i got bea by my buddies 02 eclpise Gt, and i have the klze in my mx-3
I was wondering what i could do to my car to make i faster so i can beat him.
I was thinkin a chip but what would be the best chip for my to gain the most power out of it.
And is there anything else i can do to my car to make it faster that thanks.

WOW! Did yuo race the your "Proformance" klze in mx - 3? I think Fritos would be the best chip to make your car faster so you can beets him.

a lot of work

2500 of suspenion
2000 of stand alone fuel managament
750 of mazspeed LSD
500 of mazspeed mounts.
2000 of autometer gauges.

pro import interior, rose jointed suspenion Jaz fuel cell
custom fuel throttle bodies.....

So you got a spare 10K to throw at it ..............

you could save $1500 on this project and go Megasquirt.
save $495.50 and fill all your mounts will polyurethane
Once you have the Megasquirt you really will only need a $50 oil pressure guage. That saves another $1950.

That's almost $4k off the price. I would love to go find $2500 worth of suspension toys. I'm only in about $700 so far (Tokicos, Springs, Strut Bars) with a couple hundred before I start making my own stuff. I'm gonna copy my PMO traction from my probe for the MX-3 if I ever get the chance.

My probe was a "whatever is costs" project so I'm purposely making the MX3 a "how cheap can I figure out how to do this without sacrificing quality" project.

The Ecu is ( looks in the email box 1600 )
the Link Plus wipes the floor compared to the megasquirt.
for features, tunning and support...

The car is being built to a show standard as well and cheap
gauges sometimes miss read and when you have 3K + tied
up in a allmotor engine you don't want that to go pop..

Total build costs will be less than 10k once i tot up the bits
and yea its my pride and whatever it cost project too...

thats 2500 of suspenion parts no labour or machining which
im doing, according to edgar ( koni's machinist ) add another
1500 just in labour alone for what im doing....
