Hey Guys

Post by Neil »

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to let everyone know who knew me on the board by Didlin that I’ve had Jeff change my nickname. Apparently my old nickname had a double meaning that I wasn’t aware of and when I found this out I asked Jeff to change it.

So I just wanted to give everyone a heads up!

Also Thank you Jeff for changing my name!

Might not be such a dumb question, since I don't know the double meaning either... Or maybe we're both just really dumb...

Somone was still offended by the nickname "didlin" as they thought it was a shortended version of the word.

Hey Neil, I can see why you'd wanna change s/n. I used to be s/n "perhapsadingo8yerbaby" 'cause it was a punchline from the Seinfeld show that made me laugh. Found out much later that punchline was based on an actual high profile criminal case in Australia where this couple camping at Redrock actually did lose their baby 'cause a Dingo ate it. Ugh.

Just curious. "Neil" isn't a name with any hidden dbl meaning is it?

This is the only thing i could find about my Name having a double meaning :p

NEIL
Gender: Masculine
Usage: Irish, Scottish, English
Pronounced: NEE-ul [key]
Extra Info: Popularity, Related Names, Namesakes
Options: Contribute Information, Add to List
From the Gaelic name Niall, which is of disputed origin, possibly meaning "champion" or "cloud". This was the name of a semi-legendary 4th-century Irish king. A famous modern bearer of this name was American astronaut Neil Armstrong, the first person to walk on the moon.

So i think i'm safe... I hope, i dont wanna have to goto change my actual name to!!
