Too much freakin' TV!

Hello all. Take a took at this McDonalds I went to last night, this just made me aggrivated, and I know some of you will find it just as ridiculous as I did. It just opened. I walked in and couldn't believe what I was seeing, I couldn't even enjoy my Chicken McNuggets because I couldn't believe what I was seeing. TV's everywhere. TV's up at the counter where you order- so people can NOT pay attention to the line, and lose track of their order. TV's at the drink station, so you can watch freakin' TV when you re-fill your soda, get napkins, or ketchup. The TV's at the drink station are convenient as well for when people don't pay attention and their drink overflows, atleast they can watch TV when cleaning up their mess. TV's hung up wherever there's a seat, so that EVERYONE can have their own TV to watch! Some seats had 2 TV's per person. That cuts out all chances of conversation. And dare I say it? Yes... TV's in the BATHROOM. It was just aggrivating. Do people really crave TV so much that they need to watch it while taking a dump??




I'm over-reacting, yeah, mostly for dramatics. But it still was really dumb!

Sounds like an experiment of some sort.
Perhaps they hope to pull clients in by making them addicted to TV.
Perhaps those screens hide something a whole lot more sinister, something only Mulder & Scully might discover.....

Consider this; perhaps those screens are sending out sublimal messages.
"Eat McDonalds Everyday - till you drop"
"Join the Infantry - U know you want to" (No offense meant to all defenders of peace OK? U guys / gals are great!!)
"Join the Navy" (As in that episode of the Simpsons!!)
"Kneel before your GOD humans" (Apophis - Stargate ?)
"Welcome to the McDonalds MATRIX - Ur hooked"

.......Or something equally mundane - or downright dangerous.

Maybe it's supposed to keep your attention away from the food...

Like I said, I couldn't really enjoy my food, because I was so amazed and taken aback by what I was seeing in a freakin' McDonalds.

If I don't concentrate on the food, I won't question what exactly it is I'm eating. Is the chicken really chicken? Are these burgers I eat slowly killing me? How about these fries....what's up with them? Nope, didn't question it one bit.

That McDonnalds actually looks really nice. Sure, the TVs are excessive, but a lot differen't then what I'm used to.

ever since micky d's changed to a different cooking oil and food portions for people that can't "just say NO" I think the food has gone down hill and maybe they need a new stimulus for their clientele....and to add to that I heard somthing about Mcdvd's soon

Well I've seen nothing of the sort around here.

However, a few days ago my husband and I were driving down to Valdosta, GA and stopped at a McD's for lunch. The girl at the counter took our order and realized as she was about to take our money that they had no drinks of any kind except Sweet tea.

But that's still not as bad as when one guy at the Chik-Fil-A in the mall I worked at told the first customer of the day "We're out of chicken. You can't order that."
