looks like bp to me so yes it should fit

Check out this link.. I think it would fit.. but you would need to mod the motor mounts I think..
Its not a BP its a FE3.. Came in Sportages in 1995 and 93 626/MX6s. Apparently they are considered the "Big Blocks" of the mazda 4cyl world. I think you could make it work.. but I doubt it would be a simple bolt in and go sorta of thing.

Someone did one of those swaps up in Quebec I think. Turned out to be a very fast car but he said you have to do a lot of custimizing. I would search for FE3.
