I got burned by mitmaks

Post by nope-mx3 »

I bought 4 rims of him, and after some time I recieved them, and delivered them to a tireshop for safekeeping until install.

Then we try to install them today, and 3 of them fits but not the 4th....
It`s for a 5-lug pattern.....

in total I paid $500 for the rims + US shipping (paid to mitmaks), and I paid a Norwegian company for shipping from Usa to Norway.

So all in all, I`m down $1000 and I had to buy 4 new 18s today....

All I can hope is that he didnt do it on purpose....
Also, to ship it back would be too expensive, so now I have 4 rims that are basically useless... (have to try and find another Konig Rated R 7.5x18, 4x100, ET40 (or something)

Well on the possibility that he didnt notice one of the rims was 5 lug, it is still a problem he would be responsibile for and not you. Im sure they were all sold to you with the understanding that they were all the SAME.

yah ... how can you NOT notice that one of your rims is a 5 lug for a 4 lug car unless you have NEVER used them, looked at them or stole them.

yeah, I`ve messaged him on Yahoo messenger.

Havent heard anything yet.

Just dont hope he was burned when buying them, and since I`m so far away, he figured he could ship them and be done with them.
He advertised them several times I think aswell.

Had to buy 4 new 18s today, so atleast I get it running.

wow wow wow...all the bashing.
First I just got home after work and just got your yahoo message and your pm, Ive pm'd you back.
The rims were brand new and I opened only one box to look at them and then they were just sitting in my room for few years. I never got chance to see other 3, never would think that one was 5 lug
I would never try to hurt anyone on this board, and never would do anything like that on purpose. Im very sorry that happened.
We could try to find another one and you can always sell 5 lug one on ebay, theres lots of people that damage one wheel and need that 5 lug one. I hope we can work something out man

Yeah, we can probably work something out.
To say the least it was a real bummer, 1 hour before closing on friday before a holiday here. (everything is closed until wednesday).

There I was without wheels after two months of work on the car.

what happened to wheels that you had on car before you got ones from me, car wasnt sitting on floor jacks was it. Possibly Konig can get you another one or exchange it or just sell them separate

I had it at a garage on floorstands, sold the old rims.
Drove it to the tireshop on my wintertires.

I talked to Konig, and they dont have any Rated R`s anymore.
They told me to look for 1 identical (used), but I guess it`s not too easy to find.

FWIW, Sounds like an honest mistake on Mitmaks part.....none the less, it was still a Mitmak mistake and we are all responsible, even for our mistakes. I don't believe that nope should have to do any further running or chasing around from this point further. I believe that to those ends the final thing that nope should do is package all of those rims up, ship them back to mitmaks and recoup the complete expenses that he incurred. This will undoubtably be a very expensive situation for Mitmaks, but one that he bares full responsibility for. Mitmaks, it's unfortunate the way the transaction transpired and an expensive lesson to say the least, but you're going to have to wear this one. Whether nope decides to capitulate to some degree is up to him. A lesson learned, hopefully, by all who read this thread. Hope an amicable aggrement can be reached, moderators should be monitoring.
