hey i had asked earlier about an idle problem i was having with my dohc 1.6 after turboing it and i found out it was most likely my BOV leaking air, but i got a new adjustable one (turboxs type-S) and it isnt leaking anymore, but it still doesnt like to idle till its warmed up. I was thinking about what the problem might be an i came up with a possible cause...the 323 header i got is cracked in the normal spot down the middle and the crack goes right to the o2 sensor...could the crack be giving the sensor a bad reading until it heats up and closes? or any other suggestions on this would be appreicated too. thx guys :D

Might check the Idle Bypass assembly (Bolted to the bottom of the throttle body) its also where the IAC attaches to the TB. You will need a new seal if you crack it open to clean it out. The seals are available at the mazda dealers.. $18 US. Since there are two coolant lines that attach to the bottom of the throttle body (the idle bypass assembly) and Since your idle problem is happening only when the engine is cold.. I would guess this needs to be cleaned up. Hope this helps.
