Let's hear your mod plans for spring/summer '05

well, school's lettin' out first week of may, and i'll have gobs of time on my hands to work w/ my car (finally!)... i've been saving up a ton of money so i'm excited... here's my list of mods, all of which are definitely feasible because i already have in my bedroom most of these parts.....


stereo/alarm/etc.:

-pioneer head unit
-4 6.5" pioneer for all 4 corners
-820W power acoustik amp
-to 10" kenwood subs
-kenwood tweeters
-i'm goin to completely soundproof my car (i'll make an in-depth, exhaustive write-up w/ pics and my reaction for anyone's who's interested)
-alarm system
-keyless remote
-power door locks
-remote trunk opener
-remote start-up

interior:

-indiglo HVAC panel
-completely redone interior (headliner, seats, door panels, etc.)

exterior:

-maybe rims/tires (using OEM currently)
-MS front and possibly the sides
-Erebuni rear
-maybe paintjob, but probably not until after summer sometime
-5% hatch tint
-possibly a custom spoiler, although i have the GS one in my room currently if i wanna use it
-possibly custom sideview mirror swap w/ a Grand Am or Grand Prix
-custom headlight mod
-custom turn signal mod, if it doesn't pan out, then the clear will have to do

performance:

-headers, not sure which ones yet
-other little stuff, spark plugs/wires etc. etc.
-somewhere around a 2" drop, but haven't decided on what brands yet, but that will be done in a month or so
-possibly the whiteline rear sway bar
-rear strut tower bar to match my front one already in
-possibly custom exhaust, however i need to learn how to weld, lol... so i might take a class in september, or maybe i'll just 'wing it', and buy a welder off my friend's friend and give it the ole' college try
-ZE and MTX looks like it'll be spring '06 woohoo!



-probably other stuff which i can't think of right now
-and a butt-load of other custom stuff which i'll attempt-but i don't wanna say too much lest i give it away, or worse i fail and look like a shmuck for opening my big yap and not following through w/ it...

if i think of anything else i'll post, but that's a pretty good list for now anyways...

-black leather seat install! (Yay)
-try to fix up one of the 3 broken cargo covers I have & replace the one I have
-leather shift, e-brake & console lid covers

Exterior:
-finish painting rest of car (door jambs & backside of doors, underside of hood & underside of hatchlid)
-eyelids
-oem skirts
-wrap-around spoiler (either new drag wing or canadian-spec one)
-sand paint down smooth & buff up

Suspension/Brakes
-New master cylinder
-rebuild rear calipers
-new front & rear rotors
-new front & rear pads (semi-metallics)
-rear stb install in trunk
-new falken azenis installed on my 16" rotas

Engine/Drivetrain:
-finish bulletproofing transmission w/lsd
-dual-feed fuel setup w/AFPR
-dyno tuning
-possibly remove a/c (if i can't get it workign soon)

There are other general maintenance projects scheduled as well.. such as a new water pump and a brake system check up.

...Man thats a tall order for spring and summer, but its not much in the grand sceme of things,IMO. Now if I only had a day off some of it would get done,. Been working 7 day weeks to afford all this stuff, now I gotta get it and find time to put it in, LOL

- not much actually, its pretty much done other than door trim customizing

Engine: The Swap

Suspention & Brakes:
- Ground Control Coil overs, kyb gr-2 struts, steel braided lines
- HP RACING big brake kit for minimum 16" rims
- conversion or rear from drum to disc brakes

Body:
- paint job peral white w/ a lil metalic flake, similar to stock 2004 acura tsx's, just a lil brighter white.
- shave off all annoying things like lock cylinders, side bump inserts, roof dips, antenna, rear wiper
- new door handles

haven't had my car long but i've been collecting stereo stuff for a while and 1st thing im gonna do is install a system.

180 amp alt
2 XXX6.5 speakers, gonna have to custom fit them somehow
15" RE XXX with 1600 watts going to it, in a 4.1 cu ft ported box, which takes up pretty much whole trunk.


After this, i'm going right to a ze swap which will be done in the summer sometime. No clue if i'll get to doing other things here and there after that.
