how do you get flywheel off

i have a 92 mx3 gs 1.8 of course. was wondering how do i get the fly wheel off. i cant seem to find anything on it. and thanks for any help or advise

the clutch and pressure plate have to come off then you would see the six or so bolts in the middle that hold it to the crankshaft

i do believe thats the flywheel not the torque converter

okay there is still a plate that has to be taken off the crankshaft with the same 6-8 bolts that holds it in place

unbolt tranny,
unbolt clutch
unbolt little flywheel.

wtf ??

then you DONT HAVE A FLYWHEEL

its called a FLEX PLATE...... and you remove it just like you remove a flywheel, just like everyone is telling you except there is 4 nuts to unblot on the back of the torque converter and that comes off first

ok sorry i didnt realize i said flywheell at the beginning, by bad. now that we are on the same part. you say there are 4 bolts on the back of the flex plate, behind the torque converter. would explain why i cant get it off

there are 4 nuts on the back of the torque converter, you will have to rotate the thing until one of them is accesible for your rachet until all 4 are off then it will pull off... they are 14mm nuts i think

right on... also i need to know what to do with the clutch alignment tool. im doing an auto to manual swap. if you know what one is and what to do with it.

hey man i just finished my atx - mtx swap yesterday and turned the key for the first time :D

dont you have a manual like a haynes or something ? it will come in handy for alot of things doing this job trust me

no im going at it blind folded. never done anything like this before. have been asking alot of questions. wondering if you could fill me in on some of the troubles you came across.
