As far as I was aware the VRIS valve opens at ~4250rpm..... ish (give or take 500rpm)

Hmm 4250 for VRIS one sounds identical to the KL-DE... there are two different VRIS valves afaik on all K-engines...

KL-DE:
V1 open: 3250
V2 open: 4250
V1&2 close: 6300 (or 6200)

KL-ZE:
V1 open: 3800
V2 open: 4800
V1&2 close: 6800

These are from memory so I may be off. I was hoping the K8 ECU had similar points to the KL-ZE because I have a ZE IM on my DE but my VRIS points are wrong, and was hoping I could run a K8 ECU with the KL02 VAF (heard it works well) and have better VRIS points.... ???!?

finnally found it... and for YOUR convenience (if anyone was wondering the same thing)

both closed from 0-1900
both open from 1900-2800
VRIS 1 opens at 3900 (this works for me!)
VRIS 2 opens at 4700 (this also works for me!)
and both close again at 6300....(a little too early for me, but not too bad)

on probetalk there was a guy who made vris controllers that allowed you to controll when you wanted both or 1 open

Can those points be changed from the ECU or something?

Im sure theres a way to do it and it has to do with running 2 wires to the solenoids trough a switch...but to know which wires is the problem.
