KLZE Turb/Supercharger

Post by insanerino »

Hey guys, I got another question about the KLZE swap. Everyone knows that before a Turbo or Supercharger can be installed on an engine, there must be many modifications. Like Pistons, rods, stronger camshaft, etc... Since the KLZE is already a "performance" engine, does anything need to be changed before a Turbo or Supercharger can be installed? I was just thinking that since it is a bigger, stronger, performance engine, it may already be able to take one.

you can safely run 5-6psi on stock internals on any k-series engine. The klde can handle the most boost.

bigger ,performs better...not stronger.
like insanerino said...stock k-series motor can withstand around 7-8psi max without modifications to the internals. Some have pushed more than that and stock internals but who knows a long the engine will last.
If you're planning more that kind of boost then internal work is a must
