jackshaft for BP LSD tranny

Post by valenzul »

Anyone know where I can get a jackshaft for a LSD G25MR tranny.
It is larger than the ProLX ones

Are you using the new Mazdaspeed LSD? If so you'll need a custom jack shaft, Corksport is making them. You also need the driver side inner stub shaft from a MX-3 V6 to put on the Pro-LX driver side axle. I haven't done it yet, but my stub shaft is supposed to be on the way, I've had the LSD sitting in a box for months now!

I just have a BP DOHC L tranny that I accidentally received when ordering a ProLx tranny. The driver's side Stubby I have and looks to be 28 splines and 1 1/8" thick.

It would be really good if I could use this tranny.

If nobody else can offer you help, call Derrick Ambrose @ Corksport and ask him what you need. If he doesn't know then good luck! Honestly I'm not sure by what you mean when you said it is an L tranny. I thought the only trannies were a DOCH G series, SOHC not sure series, and DOHC 4wd tranny (not sure what series either). Also....the trannies I'm talking about fall some where in the 90-early 94 Protege years. I'm using a 92 Pro-LX drive line and Shay is using one from I believe a early 90's Escort not sure which model (supposed to be same as Protege).
