Moving a turbo to the back a good idea?

I am just wondering,
since there are people with Trans Ams and Camaros putting turbos on the back of their cars, wouldnt having long pipes running from the turbo to the engine cause alot of turbo lag?

I'm not very knowledgable here, but imo, in the case of our cars being mx-3's and at most a 2.5 V6 displacement, it would definitely cause alot of lag and not be a wise decision. Possible; of course, anything is.

In the case of trans ams and camaro's, they have 5.7l LT1 engines (corvette motors) in them. They put out tons more exhaust and therfore spool huge turbos regardless of the length of piping.

But I could be wrong, so no haters please

its a terrible idea. no matter what size turbo or what kind of motor your using you would be losing alot of potential power.
