To the best of my knowledge, most if not all models sold in Canada will come with a cord. Mine was hidden underneath the car towards the back of the engine bay. I thought I didn't have one on mine either at first, but when I brought the car in to have the rotors changed, I asked the mechanics to see if there was one or not, and sure enough they fished it out for me. It's tied up all neatly with a zip strap or something in the bottom. Just get someone to get underneath, cut the strap to free the cord and loop it back up inside the bay and across the block so that you can get access to it.

Where does the block heater go into on the engine block?

Also....what side of the car is the cord "zip-tied" up at? I have my engine out right now and didn't notice it....but I suspect that ALL mx3's have a plug for it if it was an option in north america.

Theres a frost plug around where the egr valve goes. It would probably go there.
