Problem about brake???

Post by raiden »

I bought 94 MX-3 GS auto last month :D . It has a problem about brake. :( When I brake, It needs a lot of distance to come to stop . Then I changed rotors and brake pads for all wheels, but it's still the same. :? Is the problem from Brake Master Cylinder??????? :?: If the problem is from brake master cylinder, between the OEM Brake master and Tokio Brake master 601+1619, which one is the better one? I need some sugguestion. THANK YOU.......

did you burnish the brakes (break them in?)

Also are you using semi-metallic pads or just some cheapass autozone pads. Semi-mets cost at least 20 dollars for the front or rear so if you paid less, you very likely have crap pads that aren't going to be nearly as effective.

If nothing else works, one of your calipers or you master cylinder could be the problem. best way to tell is to remove them and check them for leakage or damage.

You might also need to bleed the fluid or change it completely. The rubber OEM brake lines will also begin to balloon after they have gotten this old, they may need to be replaced.
