Re: help me please
check your dimmer to see if it was bad?

Re: help me please
As long as you have got tail lights.
Thats where I'd be starting too - checking for a voltage at the dimmer. Can't see how the horn is related - did this happen at the same time?

Re: help me please
I'd have to check a wiring diagram (which I don't have)... hmmmm ah any chance that the cluster and horn share a ground? Maybe both are not grounded?
{sigh} Time to move on

Re: help me please
I spent hours and hours taking the dash apart and testing all the wires that I could find. The problem in my case was the dimmer switch. Go to a junk yard and pick on up, ask to test it at the yard with your car. You should be prepared, ie. have the old dimmer switch pushe out and the wire connector out in the open and then just plug the junk yard model in.
Re: help me please
I was in the middle of working on dash pieces, some customizing, of course. Then I had to use the car, tossed the necessary things (gauge cluster) in and took off, only to find later that evening that no dash lights worked. Like you described, but the problem was the missing dimmer switch. I agree with the others here. Check the connection, and test switch with ohm meter, and replace if necessary. Junkyard, or ebay-possibly. New would be EXpensive.
If not broke - don't fix, modify. If broke - fix it right, and make it better.

Re: help me please
I don't even use my dimmer switch anymore besides just to sit in the dash so there won't be a void in the dash. Since I've gotten my indiglo gauges, I got a small piece of wire and ran it from the top right and botttem right pins from the connector switch and that makes all the lights default to full brightness. With the pin directly left of the bottem right I used to power the gauges and sent the ground wire for the gauges to a screw connected to the chasis. Makes em work just by hittin the lights on. But the wiring from the top to bottem would be a great quick fix for a broken dimmer and considering most of us leave our brightness to full anyways.

Re: help me please
Before going and buying a new dimmer switch try jumping the switch and see if the lights come on. If so then you can leave it jumped and just not worry about getting a new switch. Unless of corse you want to be able to dim your lights.
