Re: donating to the ubb
i dont think 5 bucks is that bad, most of us can deal with that,
Re: donating to the ubb
Maybe you should do a little incentive program where if you give for example $10 you can have a custom avatar.

Re: donating to the ubb
ya whatever the amoount is, but think about it if everyone gives 5 bucks that would be alot of money, but ya i guess if u want an avatar then maybe u should pay more, to show how much we "love" the site
Re: donating to the ubb
wow 4,000 members x $5 is alot of money. i like the insentive program idea.

Re: donating to the ubb
yeah, that would be a ton of money. I am estimating that there may be 200 core "posters" that would be willing to contribue $5, and even then that would be $1000! Plus, if new people join the board they will see the custom avatars and want to donate so they can have one themselves. The main question is should we keep the price low, like $5 and hope more people would be willing to contribute, or should we make it high like $15 or $20 and then only the really hard-core people would contribute, I almost think the lower priced option would make more $ in the end.

Re: donating to the ubb
I guarentee that all 4000 members would contribute. I'm sure a lot of them don't even come here anymore. But, I also think that if you want a custom avitar you should give more than $5. It would take Jeff a lot of time to put in 200 different avitars ya know? We all use this board, and we all appreciate it, so I think the $5 idea is a good one.

Re: donating to the ubb
remember of the 4000 people maybe 100-150 post sometimes. Not all members post. This is over a period of a few years ll of these have registered. Some have come and gone. I'd gladly help jeff with the donation for an avitar. It'd help alot with the bill
