Meeting of the Mazdas - June 21st

Hey fellow zoom-zoomers! <p>I'm from the Toronto Miata club (miataphiles.com) and wanted to let you dudes know about a meet where holding for Mazdas. It's on June 21st and will be held at Christie Conservation area in Waterdown (just outside of Hamilton) Ontario. It should take you about 45 minutes from Toronto. It's in a large grassy area backing onto a lake. The picture opportunities will be wicked.<p>Go here for more info: http://www.hamrca.on.ca/christie.html<p>There will be a fee to get in. $7.50 per car and then another $2 per person to a max of $13.<p>It will be a fairly informal thing where the Proteges, RX7s, MX3s, Miatas and others will hang out and just shoot the sh*t.<p>I see that you guys are trying to organize an event for the 21st as well. What better opportunity than to hang out with other Mazdas. You guys can leave whenever you want. We're expecting close to 100 Mazdas at the event. <p>Start time will be 11:30 am. No formal activities will be planned. We will have several BBQs there so if you want to bring some burgers and dogs, go for it.<p>Check out our site if you want. I don't think we should do this meet and should stick to the Mississauga location.<p>This location is not central and out of the way.<p>Plus you have to pay for this meet which I don't think should be necessary.<p>Jeff has set the info for the 6th Annual Mississauga meet for the same location it has always been.<p>More information:

i think it will bring alot more exposure to the mx-3, i know a couple people in the miaita club and theres gonna be 150 cars atleast and if we show up with toprotege and us there will be so many cars.. its not that far out of the way. why not make it a hudge meet, personally i will probally be attending the waterdown meet gonna be way more cars and alot of cars i;ve never

It sucks that we've chosen a day that the other meet is taking place. If we must have the mx-3 meet on June 21st, is anyone interested in meeting for an hour or so and then touring down to the other meeting of the Mazda's and showing up as a true car club? <p>one

Hey Guys,<p>Thanks for the interest in this event. It's going to be pretty cool. Waterdown really isn't that far from TO and it would be wicked to have you guys there. <p>We tried to organize the meet at the Sherway Gardens parking lot last time but ran into some legal issues with the mall management. This was the only way to get the Mazdas together. Hold it in a public venue. There are other things to do there as well.<p>Hope to see you guys there and representing the MX3s.<p>Peace.

We will be doing the Annual Mississauga meet in the same location as it has always been this day. However after the meet is over sometime in the afternoon some of us might come over to your meet.<p>I don't really like the idea that you have to pay to attend your meet.
