My season finale

Post by thebonestockkid »

well, went to cayuga one last time tonight, and on my first run of the night, i pulled my best run so far, and probably ever with my current set up:

R/T ... .578
60' ... 2.234
330 ... 6.192
1/8 ... 9.430
MPH ... 76.09
1000 ... 12.249
1/4 ... 14.648
MPH ... 92.98

as i said that was my best out of 21 runs (would have done more but i was severely low on gas lol). i can only explain it by just getting to the track and running right away, tires still being hot (compared to what they were later on im guessing) my other runs were a few 14.7's, mostly consistent 14.8s, and the occasional screw up where i took it easy right after (ie. misshift, poor launch) all in all im quite happy with my time, considering its a stock DE with barely anything done to the thing. with a lot more practice i think i could pull consistent 14.6s and maybe even the odd 14.5, but since its the end of the season i guess i'll just have to wait and see  anyway im ****in tired, goodnight all!!

How the hell are you running 14.6 with an almost stock KLDE?? I have my DE and I'm pretty sure I'd only run lower 15s at best. And I have pretty much everything you got except for the gutted hatch. How do you do it?!?!?! haha

He runs those times cause I work on his car :D

I've said it before, I'll say it again, damn good times Frank. Like Curt said we need to get that thing on the dyno and see what kind of power it's making.

"as i said that was my best out of 21 runs"

how do you do 21 runs? you just show up at the track and say i want to do 21 runs? I dont know if thats a dumb question or not but around here if you work on tuesday nights(street legal night) you cant get into the track to do testing(as far as i know)
Goal: 1/4 mile time of 13.099 or better, N/A. ...still in the works
