I believe it was determined there was to be no more versus questions as they are rudamentary? I could be wrong.
Either way, bets are on the BPT as it is lighter than the ZE. It will have more torque but it would be a good match. It could go either way and would be within a car length for sure.

This is the topic that was opened to try and eliminate the vs. questions: http://www.mx-3.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb. ... =000118
Also from my personal reading experience it seems it's easier to get hp's out of bpt engines than KL series engines.

When I traveled to Sherbrooke, I stop at the Mazda Dealer there, and the 35th anniversary car could be equiped with a Turbo Kit for 5000$, factory. That's the F series. Turbo are not standard.. you have to ask, so it seems ;)

yup the turbo mx-5(miata) in australia is being released soon.
In road and track tests that were done it
beat out the s2000. (i hate honda anyways)
the power rating was around 150kw for the miata turbo. Obviously you could get alot more if you did a few little mods :)
also!! when doing the ZE swap, you utilize the 1.8 manifold as the 2.5 wont fit.
Have any of you just bothered getting a new hood kitted in to fit it? and if so what were the HP differences in the manifold changes?? I think the 1.8 manifold is VERY VERY restictive and pisses me off.

The Millenia manifold is used (Eunos 800 I believe) here since SOME of them have ZE size ports and the curved TB neck is similar to the 1.8. The Millenia TB size is the same as the ZE. The Millenia VRIS configuration is very similar to the ZE so if you use a ZE ECU the performance should be equivalent.

as I understood the reason some intake manifolds would not fit ie: the mx6 one, is because it will not clear the master cylinder. I dont think hood clearance is a problem

1.8L BP engine come in the 90-94 Protege LX and 91-96 Escort GT, while the BPT engine comes from the 323's.

I think this could go either way.
Alot would depend on what setup you went with after you put the motor in, IE upgrades.
More importantly, the decision should skew towards the current version of motor you currently have. GS = KLZE 4cyl = bpt
