how can you have a drag racing part to this site and not have kill stories....that is kinda stupid dont' you think...this area is really hipocritical, and weak to because you can't even talk about your day at the track how gay is that....I think you should be able to post about your racing then maybe there will be posts that aren't 2 years old sitting here...just a thought I had... ...fuk I'm a gay bastard I posted in the wrong place s--- allwell just move it or something..or delete it what ever

Re: this area
That is the policy of the site and Jeff has every right to set the rules and boundaries he wants on here. People just need to accept that and respect it.<P>If you want illegal street racing forums then you can e-mail me or icq me and I can tell you a few.<P>Finally let me say I don't street race, I don't support or condemn street racing. I am neutral on the matter. Both sides of the issue have truths and misconceptions but the mx-3 forum is not the place to discuss the subject.

Re: this area
I realize that I don't really care I was just making a observation...anyway I was just thinking why have a drag racing part and not be able to post "drag racing" not street racing "drag racing" this would make this part come to life I think then we could see what other mx-3' are running at the track

Re: this area
Drag racing is legal, and street racing is not. If authorities found out that this site was connected with some kind of street race scheduling or organizing, Jeff could get in <B>big</B> trouble. So Jeff has decided that we would make a strong stand on the board and not associate our board with street racing at all. Avoid the problem all together.

I used to know alot about MX-3's, but not so much anymore. Oh well.

Well, since the correct answer, given by multiple people hasnt convince some of you why....ill add my own 2 cents.<P>Street Racing is:<BR>a) childish<BR>b) for the sole purpose to see who has the bigger "unit"<BR>c) far more dangerous than any form of REAL racing<BR>d) stupid<P>For these reasons, we like to keep this area to REAL racing, whether it be drag, autocross, or roadracing.

Not meaning to cause any trouble but I just find it hard to understand this BB. It is here for us to talk about our mx3. If it involves street racing shouldn't we be allowed to speak our views. I know Im not the only with these views. I mean i respect the rules but don't agree with them. My .02 cents is....What do you call a system that one person is in power and forces thier views on others? Totalitarianism
...<BR>Forgive my spelling! Had to get it in before the <BR>

Re: this area
Ok so if i say any of the following..<BR>I are slow and very hard to work with<BR>I is a poopy head<BR>little boys, barbies, and tea parties are good!<BR>Ill be soon be repremanded and punished but yet none of the things I said were wrong or of base now where they. It is true I are slow and hard to work with. I could be a poopy head if you catch him after he stubbed his toe, got a ticket, and got craped on by a pigon
. For some little boys, barbies, and tea parties might be a good thing but if they oppose the views of the people in control of this board it will get shut down. Just say its wrong so I will look like the goof ball and not you.<P>[ June 26, 2002: Message edited by: David Coleman ] I had sex, drugs, and hoes there for a reason, to make a point. I would like it if you would have left it alone cause now the post makes no sence...<p>[ June 26, 2002: Message edited by: The_Great_Tonge ]

Just figured I'd make that abundantly clear. This board is not a democracy. The policies have been made for good reason and they will not change. FWIW, I did not initially agree with Jeff on the street racing policy, but I have since realized the severity of the consequences of allowing discussions of illegal activities. I know several RCMP units in Canada [MOT] have been known to surf car bulletin boards for information regarding locations and identities of street racers, which have been used for busts. So keeping this off the board keeps you safe too. There are plenty of <A HREF="http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=U ... eet+racing" TARGET=_blank>street racing boards</A> out there that you should join and post on. Just don't bring it here. You agreed to that when you signed up on the board. Failure to abide by those terms can result in termination of your user account.<P>I don't think there are any unclear areas of this topic for questions....

The police know of them but they can't shut them down simply because people are talking about it. The police do monitor such boards in order to find out where people are meeting up to race and hang out, this is a known fact which is why people on these boards have to be very careful not to post locations.<P>The question is not whether it is legal or not to talk and post about it on the internet.<P>What is at issue is the policy of this message board that Jeff has made. He is in every right to make whatever policy he wants since he owns and runs this message board and people just have to respect that. I totally agree with his policy.<P>This is an MX-3 message board, not at all a street racing message board. Therefor people should just focus on the MX-3 aspect of it and just leave alone the street racing stuff where it doesn't really fit in here anyway.

Re: this area
as you can see I am talking about people racing at the track and what not....nobody even writes about times they run or anything it's just can my mx-3 SOHC (with no mods) beat a hemi cuda......s--- has been here for over 2 years people have to start writing about their track experiences....because he allows non illegal racing in this forum does he not?? and yes it is illegal to "mod" your car here to some drgree...it's called pacer and they hassle anyone with mods done to their car...they write you tickets for being "to low" "no cat" "unsafe to drive"...and so on...they are really trying to put a stop to street racing in the T.O area by harrassing people with modded cars
