Hi all I might be taking me mx to a airfield for a top speed test day on Sunday, might onl watch or should I take my car up!!!!!!!!!!

I think I probally will. Only running a PRM intake and different back box so nearly standard. But I guess it`s not all about beating other people it`s just wot can ya do!!!!!!

You should run your car stock, then run it with the mods to see what you improved on, and what you need to improve on...just my $0.02

Things tend to get real squirly at those speeds. The car isnt meant for top speed.<BR>Wear your seat belt and hold on buddy,<BR>oh and have fun

Took my ZE up to 150mph under its own power I think there has to be some kind of governor or something that stops it from going over 150. I was at 150mph at right around 7k rpm. my rev limit is set to 7.5?<BR>Anyways I did it out on the track and with this ground control sus. and koni struts thing felt tight not squirly...good luck

Unfortunatly i did`nt make it to the test day. Weather too crappy high winds and heavy rain!!!!! Did`nt see the point in going in weather like that. Oh well i might head off to a drag strip in the next week or 2!!!!!!!! Weather permitting

Definatley, what kindof speed would you expect from a nearly std. 3??

I don't see how that is possible because the gearing on the mx-3 trannys are so low. i am at redline at around 135MPH. Unless you changed gear ratios it won't work.

I agree 150 is imposible. I got 140 at 7.5gs in my ZE. after that wa,wa,wa,wa --> rev limiter

Thank you, it is NOT possible to go that fast with our transmissions in stock form. Sorry but i have to raise the BS flag on that one.

my k8 does 130. built up ze with mx-6 trans...150 maybe a possibility

True, I have a race in two weeks at a 2.5 mile track with a nearly 1 mile straight and hope to test that with my new LSD MX-6 trans... We'll see.
