Do I need to change my struts?
I am preparing to put my newly purchased apex springs in my mx and I was wondering if I need to change my struts when I do it? I hear these honda boys saying that the car will be bouncy if I use the struts I have now but they dont know mazdas so I decided to ask you guys. I would like to spend my money elsewhere on the car but if I absloutely have to get them then I guess I have no choice.

Re: Do I need to change my struts?
It is recommended that you upgrade to a performance strut when you upgrade your springs-- but I rode on my stock struts for a year and they wee fine.
Tockico blues aren't too pricey-- but you can get the ZX2 struts for a great price & do that conversion as well.

hondas are cars
mazdas are cars

Re: Do I need to change my struts?
When I lowered my car, I used the stock struts, and it's wasn't BAD.. but I definitly noticed that the car seems to "float" more. I had a set of Tokico blues on my other mx-3, and they worked frikin awesome. I'd say buy performance struts.
