got a quote for full set of Bilstein @ 305.00 GBP might sound like a stupid question but do the springs have to be released to replace the dampers if so is it worth replacing the springs for lowered versions? just a thought.

You should be able to find aftermarket shocks cheaper than that.

set of Koni shocks 326 GBP
set of Bilstein shocks 305 GBP

You can get bilsteins ?
They are great I tried to get them and they said they weren't available for our cars ?
Whats the deal ? Does the Euro version have different mounts or something ?
Thanks
Kris

Will double check with the supplier to re-check his listings, whatever it is a strut or a shock it is leaking. Even in the dryest of weather the bottom part of the strut around the suspension ring theres a wet greasy dirt feel that never dies out unlike the dirt build up found behind the wheel arch for example.
