Re: wheel wopping
not now, with 17s was even worst so I got back to 15s. I also have strut tower bar and ventura spors springs, but still running on stock suspension. one more thing, since ventura spring didnt lower my mx as I wanted, my next upgrade will be dropzone coilovers, do you have any info about those???? are they good, because on EBAY they seem very cheap.
Re: wheel wopping
ive heard so many bad things about dropzone.....i have ground-control coilovers. expensive but denfitiely worth it. as for the wheel hop, those springs might be too stiff. that would be my first guess....

Re: wheel wopping
It's not your springs. It's your motor mounts. Fill your front and rear stock motor mounts with polyurethane. Problem solved.

Re: wheel wopping
you definitely get what you pay for. In DZ's case, you'll get a cheapa$$ ride for being a cheap@$$.
Try to fill the engine mounts with urethane, that helps with wheel hop quite a bit.

Re: wheel wopping
I don't own a pair of drop zones (e-bay coil overs), but all I have read are bad comments on those who did buy them. The majority of people on here will recomend Ground controls.
As for the engine mounts, I believe corksport carries them.

Re: wheel wopping
I got wheelhop up the *** as well. I have perfectly filled front and rear motor mounts and no help.
I've decided that it's my struts. Has to be. I am going to replace those with some ZX2's and see if it helps.
My mx6 has no wheelhop at all, 190k on the chassis. I replaced struts so I am assuming that is the #1 cause, bad struts.
Replacing struts also fixed a huge wheelhop problem my friend with a 400 whp 300zx TT was experiencing.

Re: wheel wopping
For the benefit of all, some of my findings to cure wheel hop:
"up/down wheel hop" Would be caused by worn shocks or worn strut mounts or too stiff shocks/springs for the rest of the bushings/mounts
"front/back wheel hop" would be caused from worn control arm bushings
"powertrain-induced hop" would be caused by worn engine mounts and/or engine mount member bushings.
