KYB AGX ??? do they exist for MX-3 ?
Just wondering if they make them for our cars ?
The owner of a local speed shop told me that i'd be better off with KYB then Mazdaspeed Adj. struts...
Buying new suspension in may ...need to get the facts straight.

No. Just GR-2s.

quote:
Originally posted by Max:

Well, he probably carries KYB. Virtually nobody but Corksport will have the Mazdaspeed struts.
Mazdaspeed struts are probably the best you'll find that are made especially for the MX-3. You can do Koni inserts in the stock strut body, but you have to remove the strut to adjust them. The ZX2 S/R struts are seemingly equal to Tokico-branded HPs. They are definitely the best for the money, and possibly the best non-adjustable strut for the MX-3 overall.

Miatas and 2nd and 3rd gen RX-7s can be adjusted with the strut-top knob, but most of the other Mazdas require removal of the strut to adjust them.

1st: KYB makes the Mazdaspeed Strut.
2nd: The Mazdaspeed Strut can be adjusted with the strut on the car. the adjuster is on the side of the strut in tha back, and the top of the strut in the front.

Those are custom struts using Koni inserts. Truechoice builds and adapts them to be externally adjustable. So, yes, they do exist, but Truechoice is the only place to get them. Go to any other Koni dealer and you'll have to remove them to adjust them.

ANY Koni dealer/builder can build you that set. It's a "universal" insert of a certain diameter and length.
