Check out these wheels...

Post by azmtbkr81 »

I found these dope wheels on E-bay, I would buy them if I had the cash, I figure since I can't get them it would be cool to see a fellow MXer get them instead. They should fit but they might need spacers.
Volk Racing rims and tires

Sorry for the bum steer, can one of you guys explain why they won't fit so I don't buy the wrong set of rims in the future?

Well, the guy had them on his mr2, mr2's have a 5 lug bolt pattern, you have 4, and $800 for 18" volks is a killer deal.

no, its not that. They have holes for either 4 or 5 lugs.

Its a conversion from an older American system of measurement. The spacing between your lugnuts and the holes on these wheels do NOT line up. hence, they will not fit.

Good to know. Thanks for dropping the knowledge, Protege. I thought that number had do do with length of the lug bolts-guess I still have a few things to learn about cars :D
Just out of curiosity, do they make adapters for this application and if so do they have any adverse affect on handling or strength?
