Ok here's the deal...I don't know much about cars....I need new struts in the rear..local shop says it'll cost about $350.....local import shop says it'll cost $300 to get it lowered....if i get it lowered do I need the new struts???<P>Thanx<P><BR>lukylildiablo@hotmail.com

well, my suggestion is if you need new struts... <BR>change the struts when you do the springs, it will be cheaper on you. The springs go on the struts.

I would ask the import shop what all is going to be included/done when it is lowered. They might just be putting different spring on it or something and you'd still need to replace the struts. <P>Steve

I seriously doubt that 300$ will get you new springs AND struts that match, but if it does go for that. If it doesn't include new struts and you lower it youll need new struts all around. Stiffer springs require more damping....<P>If your not afraid to work on your car, and have some skill with a dremel, the zx2 struts are very economical and will work with realtivly stiff springs.<P>Good luck
