I'm not sure if maybe this is just me reading something wrong, but hey guys, it looks like we all get to take trips to the dealers! YAY

Been out for years and years. Have had mine to the dealers a few times to have mine fixed and its not gonna cost you anything. Check this site, Jeff has all of them up.

I believe its your stock springs if you live in areas where roads are salted due to heave snow, usually Northern US states, dunno about Canada.

They just add a metal piece to deflect road salt from getting into the springs and rotting them prematurely.
In Canada too.

My front driver's side spring coil broke in two places due to road-salt, rusting out, etc.

I got BOTH front springs replaced with BRAND NEW ones for free under the recall.

They never did add any funny metal piece to deflect salt.
