cost to replace struts

Last weekend, I brought my car to the tire store to replace some belts, and they also told me to change all struts. They quoted me the following.<P>$150 for labor<BR>$100 for alignment<BR>$400 for struts<P>I don't know much about those staff, but that sounds a lot to me. Please let me know what you think.<P>Bungo

Sounds about like the going rate around here, provided that you are getting decent, reasonably high-quality struts that are designed to replace your stock units. [img]shrug.gif"%20border="0[/img]

Beware of the struts some places install. Some are too wimpy and some are way over-dampened and produce too hard of a ride. <P>Personally, I'd charge $100 a corner for labor, because I hate compressing springs!
