cost to replace struts
cost to replace struts
Last weekend, I brought my car to the tire store to replace some belts, and they also told me to change all struts. They quoted me the following.
$150 for labor
$100 for alignment
$400 for struts
I don't know much about those staff, but that sounds a lot to me. Please let me know what you think.
Bungo

Re: cost to replace struts
Sounds about like the going rate around here, provided that you are getting decent, reasonably high-quality struts that are designed to replace your stock units.

Re: cost to replace struts
Beware of the struts some places install. Some are too wimpy and some are way over-dampened and produce too hard of a ride.
Personally, I'd charge $100 a corner for labor, because I hate compressing springs! ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
