dropping my mx-3 on 17s

Post by Gabriel Sandoval »

Im gonna buy some 17s (wheels) for my mx-3 by this summer. i was wondering if i still have room to drop my car (no im not cutting the springs!) and if so how much can i drop it without causing any problems? how bout with 18s? is it possible to drop the back of my car a little without dropping the front without any problems?

you can lower it about 3.5 inches and still be far from having to cut anything. i'd assume about the same with 18's. you'll be tucking tire, but it works. i don't recommend going that low though. its rough.<P>dave

Eric Gudbrasen's (spelling?) link on the website should help. His mx-3 is pretty low and he's got 17's.

Of course it depends on the size of your tires. I got 17's with 40 series on mine, it's not dropped yet, but I have a good 2 inches to go without worries. let me know how it turns out.

wheel offset is going to play a big role to get it to not rub.
