Small drop

Post by Brainless »

I'm gonna be changing my springs and shocks as soon as mine will need to. Since I'm using the car on winter, I don't wanna drop it to much so I'm looking for the smallest drop for my RS and shocks that will be strong enough to haddle the drop (I heard a few stories about people braking their shocks because they weren't made for dropped car).<P>thanx

Eibachs for a protege will give less than an inch drop, and will be fairly soft. Tokico blues will easily be able to handle them.

tokico blues run about 80 each... if you dont mind some work, you can fit the Tokicos for the Ford ZX2 S/R, but a bit of cutting is needed on the shock body. I can give a really good website with the details if anyone is interested. The set of 4 for the ZX2 is 179. The springs will run about 200 bucks.

sure, it will handle better with just the struts. You probably would also want to look at getting strut tower braces, and some sway bars.

does the front strut bar show much difference? the firewall seems so close that it wouldn't do that much
