I just found out something cool about the bpt.
I was trying to fit the oil pressure sender unit on the back of my bpt when I realized that the engine has a built in oil cooler on it. Right under the oil filter, the oil is cooled by the radiator fluid before it goes into the heater core... Thats pretty awesome. I love my bpt, so full of suprises.

This isn't just BPTs, my Escort BP came with this kind of oil cooler. If I stick with my high hp plans, I'll be taking a little load off the coolant system and using an aftermarket oil cooler.

So Frank, you decided on an electrical gauge? What sort did you get and where you going to mount it?

I got the same as my other ones. An autometer ultra-lite. At the same time I was ordering it off ebay I was ordering a gaugepod off gaugepods.com. It is going to be the full piece and holds 3 gauges instead of 2. =) I cant wait, it is going to look awesome!
Umm also, of anyone knows what size fitting goes into where the oil pressure switch is I would greatly appreciate it. I have a 1/8 th fitting now and it dosent seem to want to go in. What size are the threads on the stock sensor?

Yeah well I did get one that looked like the right size but it isnt. Its a tiny bit too big.

Sorry I can't help on the size - mine came with a selection of fittings (3 maybe?), one was the right one - just lucky I guess.
