1.8T drivers unite.

I know there is a VERY limited selection of people that have turbocharged the 1.8L V6 engine we jocundly call the K8, but there are some of you out there. I have decided to go ahead and turbocharge my K8 until I have the funds to buy and build a KL03. I would like to get somewhat of a discussion group going on. Also, this is a topic that can hopefully help out future K8 owners in their quest for turbo power. Please list your Emails and AIM or YIM screen names below so that we can all be in easy contact. Thanks in advance for the wealth of knowledge we all have and will gain from this. Also, thanks for your participation.

MY KL is almost turboed. Ive been working non stop the past 2 weeks. Havent had time to post pics. but the exhaust pipes are done, x-member is modded. Oil pan and feed, and charge pipe are all thats left.
94 Mazda MX3 GS - 395 whp 397 ft lbs untuned on pump gas and stock KLDE 15 psi boost. now running 16 psi and E85.. numbers=? 425ish whp
04 GSXR 600- full exh, power commander 3, int turn signals, etc

01 YZ250- most fun vehicle Ive ever owned.
95 Eclipse- built 420a, 60-1, megasquirt, 371 whp @ 17 psi, dsm-broken-car-curse

Look for Battosai. He's the only one that i know of to turbo charge his k8. Oh, and clever way of not getting people to scream at you to search.

As now I have everything dissasembled cause I´m performing the Kl swap, I´ll send you updated pictures and details from what I ´ve been working lately, my oil filter relocation kit which I have been asked a few times, the new chargecooler (water air intercooler) the new fuel delivery system, the electronic boost controller I am building, the in dash FMU adjustement knob, the Vris wide open mod under boost and the DIY two stage aquamist system! I am really busy!! ( I hope I can make everything fit inside the hood, otherwise I will have to pay bus tickets for my girlfriend!!)

where did you get your exhaust pipe done?

Yea, Battosai and I did a lot of brainstorming when he came up with his turbo setup. I'm not stumped on what to do with my engine because I already know what I am doing. I would just like to get a good bit of information to help other people with their setups. I plan to take a great deal of pictures when I finally get around to putting the turbo on my car, and I will either make a thread on this board about it, or make a new site and put the write-up on there. Hopefully I will also have a little bit of video to help out also. I just want to get all the K8 turbo engines to put in their 2 cents on things that they would have done differently, problems they have run into, and parts and pieces they are excited about. Thanks everyone who has responded.

I'm new to the MX3 scene and want to turbo the k8 or swap the klde in and turbo that. just wondering about how much you guys have in your set-ups thanks

MrSpanky also had a turbo k8, had it for a while but blew it up last year driving home from a show
