Hey guys, im eric, ive been readin the forum somewhat and i decided to finally register :) , umm i have a 92 mx-3 and i guess its rare cuz i dont see many people with sohc models.. and it really ticks me off cuz i found a motor up the road its dohc at a junk yard for 600$.. is that a rip?, well anyway.. i found me a kit from a friend.. NOS 50 shot 4 200$ and i dont know what kind of pistons i have, i know i need forged pistons.. but im thinkin i have aluminum.. let me know if it is still safe or not to use it please, im sopose to pick it up tuesday, Thanks a lot :p

is it a wet or dry kit? i think your biggest concern would be getting enough fuel to the motor.

i think boosted (or was it cjthor?) but 125hp hit on his (internally stock)SOHC with a direct port set-up. 50 should be good fun as long as its wet. make sure u have cooler plugs, freer flowing intake/exhaust etc...

well, thanks for the input im runnin a exhaust now.. im not sure what the brand name is but its pertty damn loud, they took off the catalitic converter, and its a straight pipe.. So it shouldnt melt my pistons? please reply, Thanks

no it shouldn't melt your pistons. some people on this board are running turbos with like 200 HP on the stock bottom end.
