couple q's: Apex'i AVC-R & SDS

has anyone installed an Apexi AVC-R yet? ive got one and am installing it once i break in the motor but was wondering if anyone had any tips or tricks when tuning( i.e the boost curve and duty).
also im looking into a stand alone and was told that SDS is an awesome system. how does it compare to the Haltech (the Ek6 i think). i was quoted 1,400 for the SDS 3 bar map, cold start, coil packs, basically everything. is that reasonable?

Do a search here Miataforum Power Mods for TEC-2, TEC-3, SDS, Link and Haltech. There are lots of good threads from previous discussions. A few of the M45 and M62 guys have started using the SDS with good results although the majority either use a Link or TEC unit.
