Is it possible to fit a large intercooler in the front of the mx with a bpt engine installed.

depends on your setup. if you have a MS style bumper(or anything with a big mouth) you can fit a good sized turbo in there. you either have to gut the hood latch and use hood pins, or take out the radiator/hood latch support bar and put in a brace towards the top(corksport did this). with the stock bumper, you're limited to size.
Fast imports only come on two wheels.

With the Mazdaspeed front end, you can use the bumper support for mounting a bracket to hold an intercooler. your limited to how thick the core will be, probably 2" without cutting your bumper, but you can have it wide enough to fill in the large gap. The bottom of the core will have to have custom mounts. You will have to cut into the fender well to run the pipes to and from the core as well. This will be a project of mine soon and let you know how it works, but one will fit.
