mx-3 tranny with bpt?

Post by marshmallow15 »

is it possible to use the automatic mx-3 rs tranny with the bpt by putting in a stronger torque converter?<BR>i was thinking of swapping in a protege or mx-6 manual transmission, but it's way too expensive and hard to find all the parts needed.

The torque converter does nothing for tranny strength. You're still going to have a weak slushbox.

well is there anyway i can use the auto tranny with a bpt engine? because i should be getting mine soon and currently, my tranny torque converter is really worn out and was thinking of a manual swap, but too many parts to get...unless that's the only way to do this.
