i think its like one of those "tornado" things you see on TV except more high tech. i got my Weapon R ram air kit which claims 15% (not hp) more for $100 shipped. i use it more to air bathe the engine though.

It's not a Tornado, a Tornado merely induces swirl which supposedly increase HP and fuel economy. I don't buy it.
This e-ram thingy is an electrically driven compressor. Same thing as a supercharger, only driven by an electric motor, only at full throttle, and only produces 1-2 psi boost. At least they have dyno runs on their website. Looking at some of them where they claim 5-7 HP, I see only 2-3 HP at best.
Anybody seen any magazine tests of this device?

Don’t waste your money …think about it …
When the motor is running and the “booster” cuts in the load from the electric motor is placed on the alternator, and therefore puts the load on the motor…
If indeed it doesn’t fall apart and send bits flying into your intake system, you will only get minimal increase in power. Only a couple of PSI (a good cold air induction ram pod set up will give you the same results for much less)
I always work on the principal of..
Big Hp gains = Big $ losses this thing does not fit the equation …
Save your money for a Proper supercharger or a turbo.

I didn’t actually try it (nor would I recommend it)
Coz, as said before, I didn’t have a long enough lead ..lol
But I suppose theoretically it would be the same thing.. Perhaps a 12/240 voltage converter.. ummm...NOT!

Ya know, the idea of an electric "supercharger" really isnt that bad....but that thing just looks kinda cheesy. I guess the real problem whould be the loss in power from the change from mechinical energy, to electrical back to mechinical....now if we had 42v electrical systems.....
