you mean stock steering wheel? or a steering wheel hub? i believe the stock steering wheel is 19mm on the fc3s and ours is 21.

If I recall I believe it was Gro Harlem who said all mazda steering wheels were the same size 1983+. However, please dont quote me on person or fact.

-Gro if you never said this Im sorry for the mis-quote and will be ahppy to erase it at your request.

BTW: any mazda steering wheel from like 1982-present will fit any mazda, the splines/diameter are the same.

you could probably get one from a mazda dealer but i highly doubt it would be affordable, as it seems most dealer parts arnt.

I drive a Protege5, but would rather want a steering wheel from Mazda that doesn't ahve cruise control buttons on it (on the Protege5 steering wheel, the "Main" button is found on the tabs, which is the button we have already on the left-side dash to turn cruise on.)

What other Mazda steering wheels will fit the Precidia, that have the new mazda logo on them?
(please include years of models. no cruise, no buttons, no airbag, just horn)

I have a 2002 P5 steering wheel on my 90 Protege. I had to mod the little arm that works the flasher arm, alittle dremeling and it's all good. I also removed some other stuff, since i didn't need it, so it may require a few other little mods, (i.e. Horn) but the wheel itself will fit fine.

My Protege is race only, so i didn't care about not having the cover/airbag or a horn. But the cover/airbag is one unit, so even if you don't use the airbag, you have to have it in order to have the cover.

(i have no idea if the airbag would be compatible with MX3 airbag'd models)

the spline nut is 22mm

Also, the cruise button pod can be completely removed, 2 small phillips screws.

I don't think you'll find a new logo wheel without an airbag or cruise buttons...also, most, if not all newer ones also have stereo buttons...

Yeah, i agree with Mazdaracer that you'll struggle to find a new, non-airbag steering wheel...., how about just getting the new logo made up to fit, or grabbing a new logo off a current Mazda steering wheel? (sorry, not grabbing..., PURCHASING!)

new emblem made to fit eh?
the thing with that idea, is that stock mx-3 steering wheels would not accomodate such a customization
