Re: carbon fibre altezzas
Gro, you should tint your hatch + windows while your at it, it would look wicked with the tails.

Re: carbon fibre altezzas
honey, im in the same dilemma.
I have a red mx and was thinking of getting the JDM style tails (carbon fiber looking altezza). I also have dark tint on my hatch and driver/passenger windows so I thought it'd look nice all blacked out.
what to do! I have had so many opinions on those lights- some good some bad, but I dig them.

Re: carbon fibre altezzas
I'm currently doing that as well. I want black ones but i was afraid the ones off of ebay would be more of a flat black rather than glossy. Also, I already had a set of chrome ones so i figured why not. It's really easy, and they are turning out damn good. Should be done in a few days. Doesnt need to take that long, but im in no hurry at all so im waiting quite a long time in between coats.

I've just been taking my time since my black car is currently parked. I must say, it is coming out beautiful though.

Re: carbon fibre altezzas
yeah, i'm going to get 35% window tint eventually, thats a lower priority right now.
And, why do you guys call these "JDM-style"? The taillights we have are JDM already.....no MX3 ever had anything remotely close to how these look on them in stock form.
Also..calling them euro is wrong too. Go to the German eBay site and you'll see german people bidding on US-spec altezza lights (if you translate the text )
its all a marketing ploy to fool people into thinking they are "euro" or "jdm" even though its all a big load of BS.

Re: carbon fibre altezzas
Well, my brother works at a car audio install shop, but they do everything else from making kits, to putting them on, to engine work etc. and i was talking to him about the "carbon fiber looking altezza" and he says "oh you mean the JDM style ones?"
So I assumed he was right, maybe not though!
